Our RATMO device is designed with the user and the environment in mind. Having traps out in the field that you know you can trust gives piece of mind and an effective working routine.
The robust RATMO is designed to take more than its fair share of bumps and knocks whilst maintaining its ability to monitor and report. We believe that reliability is one of the most important factors for the user, and have therefore designed and tested the unit to the same drop test standard as the American army employ. As well as this our team have conducting a series of environmental stress tests and fatigue tests to ensure that RATMO will not let you down.
STEP 1 GET THE RATMO’s READY
The first step in the process is to fit the RATMO device to your selected trap. The RATMO can be fitted to the BELL T-Rex as well as other brands on the market. In the illustration below the BellLabs T-Rex is stripped simply to the RATMO, giving an extremely robust mounting that can take its fair share of abuse.
STEP 2 BAIT AS NORMAL
While holding the trap open the trap is baited as normal, using the bait selected for the particular site.
STEP 3 SCAN AND RECORD LOCATION
The unique QR code on the trap is scanned in the Smart City App. The details about the location are swiftly entered into the system. (Prior to the site visit the client has been set up via the APP, or by using the web terminal )
Several key details are recorded in the simple wizard, including bait used, and up to 3 pictures to record the location for record keeping.
STEP 4 ARM
When all the details are filled in and saved, the trap is armed by using the activation key, after which it will contact the backend, give a visual and audible arming sequence alarm, then go into monitoring mode.
The box is closed before the final long tone and the trap is now set to monitor for any rodent caught in the area.
STEP 5 MONITOR
Monitoring the traps on site can be done in the APP via the Clients List, there are different viewing options.
- Here you can see all your Clients and Locations in a list. Clients can be given VIP status for sites that require a visit ASAP, for example shops and restaurants.
2, There is also the option to switch to Map View to give an overview of which areas need more attention.
STEP 6 REGISTER A VISIT
When the message comes to visit a site its time to go find out just what the RATMO has recorded.
A sizeable 400g Norwegian rat has been killed in the picture below and is a perfect example of a humane kill, with a clean strike across the neck.
Now its time to again scan the trap and use the wizard to fill in the details of the catch.
All registered visits are processed into a monthly audit report, that gives the statistics for the site in questions.
Once the registration is completed the trap is baited and re-armed as normal, and the monitoring continues.
